What started as a cabinet removal and a small window leak turned into a much larger structural repair. Once we got into the wall, we discovered serious dry rot hidden behind the stucco. A 6x12 foot section of the exterior wall was badly compromised—the king studs, jack studs, and the window header were completely deteriorated, putting the structural integrity of that part of the home at risk.
We removed all the damaged material and rebuilt the wall from the inside out. We also coordinated with Ehrlich Pest Control to address any insect activity. All work was done in accordance with Centre Region code inspections to ensure the home met all structural and safety standards.
What started as a simple upgrade turned into critical structural work—but by taking care of the hidden damage the right way, we left the home safer, stronger, and ready for the long haul.
